March Updates

With spring (It is spring, isn’t it? We hope so. Iowa City, at least, is melting), we’re launching a new monthly update on our website. This is it. We’re gathering all our news, our exciting tidbits and imminent events, in one pat little monthly letter, for you, friend-readers.

Get a gander of Lauren Haldeman’s poem-comic, "Jealous", up now at The Rumpus. See also an interview with Lauren at Baggot, Asher & Bode.

Hannah Brooks-Motl’s The New Years received a pretty perspicacious review on The Volta, and Rescue is among the count in Electric Literature’s Indie Press Cheat Sheet.

Iowa Citians, we’ll be hosting a reading at Mission Creek’s Lit Crawl (Friday, April 3rd) and hosting a table at Saturday’s Book Fair. Details to follow!

AWP attendees and Twin City dwellers alike, our joint reading with the Cleveland State University Poetry Center will be popping off at 8 PM on Friday, April 10. The event, hosted by Instinct Art Gallery, will feature Bridgette Bates, Lauren Haldeman, Blueberry Morningsnow, Marc Rahe, Andy Stallings, and Christian TeBordo. Event details can be found here.

Stay tuned for spring book preorders (that’ll be Marc Rahe’s On Hours and Christian TeBordo’s Toughlahoma). After a winter of thrilling reading we’re excited to announce the third selection in the Open Prose Series, Erik Anderson’s Estranger, which will be published by Rescue Press in 2016.
